Practical 4

Making a game with our cardboard knowledge from Practical 3.

For this week's practical, we were tasked to build a game using cardboard, based on our knowledge on our cardboard joinery. We initially had our own individual ideas; Pinball Machine (upgraded from Practical 3), Foosball Table, Basketball game, and a game which combines both shooting and basketball.

After a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong thought discussion, we chose the game which combines both shooting and basketball as this will appeal more to Primary School children.

We had used joineries such as score & bend, zip ties, and hot glue to construct our game. we also brought some things from our own houses🏡 such as wooden chopsticks🥢 and rubberbands, to make our mechanisms for our shooters🌠.

The mechanism for this game's shooting device is powered by rubber band. When pulled back, elastic potential energy is stored and is ready to shoot the marbles into the holes.
